SISBridge (the company) assigns authorized implementation partners to handle all deployment, implementation, consulting, and maintenance of the SISBridge tool for schools. We are committed to protecting student privacy and educational data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

What We Do

Our Service: We assign authorized implementation partners to educational institutions for SISBridge data migration services from CSV files and Canvas LMS to BigQuery.

Our Role: We assign schools with authorized implementation partners who handle all deployment, implementation, consulting, and maintenance of the SISBridge tool. We do not directly process educational data, implement the tool, or provide ongoing consulting or maintenance services.

Information We Process

The assigned implementation partners process only the educational data that schools choose to migrate using the SISBridge tool:

• CSV Data: Any data elements contained in CSV files provided by the school
• Canvas LMS Data: Course, enrollment, user, assignment, grade, and other Canvas data as selected by the school
• System Logs: Technical logs of migration activities for troubleshooting and verification

Data Control: Schools retain full control over what data they choose to migrate. The assigned implementation partners only process the specific data elements schools provide or authorize through Canvas API access.

How We Use Information

Educational data is processed by assigned implementation partners solely for these authorized purposes:

• Migration Services: Automated processing and transfer of data to BigQuery using the SISBridge tool
• Technical Support: Troubleshooting migration issues and ensuring data integrity
• Optional Visualization Services: Creating dashboards or reports when specifically requested by the school

SISBridge's Limited Data Use: SISBridge (the company) only processes school contact information and assignment data necessary to connect schools with appropriate implementation partners.

We Do NOT:

• Sell, rent, or lease educational data to third parties
• Use data for commercial purposes unrelated to migration services
• Create student profiles for non-educational purposes
• Use data for advertising or marketing
• Combine student data with data from other sources
• Share data between different school clients
• Use data to train AI models or for analytics without explicit authorization

Data Security

Assigned implementation partners implement industry-standard security measures for educational data:

• Encryption for data
• Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
• Regular security updates and monitoring
• Secure authentication and network controls

SISBridge maintains appropriate security measures for our assignment platform and any school contact information we process.

Data Retention and Deletion

SISBridge Data Retention: We retain school contact and assignment information only as long as necessary for our assignment services and as required by law.

Educational Data Retention: Data retention policies for educational data are established between schools and their assigned implementation partners according to their direct agreements:

• Migration Data: Typically retained only during the migration process
• Visualization Projects: Retained for the duration specified in agreements between schools and partners
• System Logs: Retained as specified in agreements between schools and partners

Data Sharing

SISBridge does not share educational data with third parties, as we do not process educational data. Educational data sharing is governed by agreements between schools and their assigned implementation partners.

For our assignment platform, we may share school contact information only:

• With Assigned Partners: To facilitate the initial connection between schools and implementation partners
• Legal Requirements: When required by law (with notice to the school when legally permissible)
• Emergency Situations: For health and safety purposes as permitted by applicable privacy laws

School and Student Rights

Schools retain full ownership and control of their educational data and may:

• Retrieve their data at any time
• Modify or terminate data processing
• Request reports on processing activities

Students and parents may exercise their privacy rights through their school, including accessing, correcting, or requesting deletion of their educational records.

Third-Party Services

Schools work directly with assigned implementation partners who use secure cloud infrastructure providers that maintain appropriate security standards for educational data. Implementation partners operate under their own privacy and security policies with schools.
